I feel like I've hardly had time to breathe....it's been a fast few weeks here!

We managed to sell our house (full price offer and lease back option, closing May 31!) Yay! Now I just need to pray it will appraise, since we did get our ambitious full asking price. :)

We are going to move out by June 9, which is going to be a rush, but we'd rather get it done before we head on a little vacation we're taking, so that we will go "worry free" and also not be paying for the house when we're not even in it for 3 weeks!

End of year stuff for school and activites are mounting....both kids have birthdays (and hence parties) in May....and we are a mad-house!

DH and I have been frantically trying to make hotel, flight, and movers reservations/appointments and also figure out the ins and outs of taking a cat to Germany...(not to mention that we don't even know if we are going to be allowed to take him, since he has kitty HIV.) It's amazing that we can't get a straight "yes" or "no" from anyone on the matter. I've been trying to talk to the agricultural liaison at the German embassy in DC, but I somehow get the idea she doesn't speak English well and doesn't quite understand me. I have written to her in email to make it "clear" what I'm asking and she is forwarding it to the customs patrol at the airport in Germany...it's all so crazy...

Anyway, just thought I'd give a little update!

Also, I ordered the adorable living locket from Origami Owl for Maya's birthday. Allison posted about this, and I decided to give it a try. It's super cute! The designer who put it together for me was SOOO amazingly nice. She tracked down a charm for me that was out of stock on the website, but that I HAD to have for Maya's necklace, because it was the most appropriate for her personality. She located one and sent it to me for free! I'm so happy with how it turned out. The charms I chose are a metal plate that says "dream" because Maya's room has always had a little plaque that says "dream." Ballet slippers for her ballet, the movie camera for her drama & filming, M for "Maya", paw for her kitty Hexy, emerald gem for her birthstone (and favorite color is green), and Eiffel tower because she loves Paris and her room is decorated with Eiffel towers.

In any case, if anyone is interested in ordering one, go through this link. The designer's name is Stephanie and her customer service rocks! She answers emails very quickly and is very personable! And it was really fun to put together.

It's been such a crazy week, so I'm just now getting to share a couple of pics. Little Jules is adjusting very well, she's been on her best behavior and is very sweet with the baby. Tonight was the first night that Baby Emma didn't sleep so well, other than that she's been waking up only once a night (I'm so thankful!) :) It's a little challenging at times because I still have to work and want to spend some one-on-one time with Jules every day. I need to know why I can't shake the annoyance and anger. Is it because I'm pregnant? A stubborn Aries? A B*%ch?

I'll be the first to admit I'm not real easy going all the time and hold grudges. Within the past week two separate instances occured and if I didnt have 2 kids from one member of this family I would wash my hands of them

A little back story-

My mom and aunt hosted a baby shower for me, it was this past Saturday.

During planning all my mom asked from MIL was to reserve the club house that is available to to home owners in her gated community. She did. My aunt asked me if I knew anyone who made floral arrangements for centerpieces, I did, a friend of ours so I asked her. She is also a friend of SIL (age 40) and mentioned to her that I called. SIL called Patrick (age 42) (her brother, father of my girls) and said "I'm really hurt that Destiny hasn't asked me to help" so he came to me to let me know. I shut him down and said I was not planning my own shower and was not asking ANYONE to help, I asked about the flowers because I was asked to. Next thing MIL is calling my mom saying she and SIL would like to help. Basically sister in law ran to her mom crying because in the weeks preceeding MIL never offered any help and really my mom wanted to do this on her own. MIL said she and SIL would pay for the flowers, bring lemonade and some favors. My mom was fine with that and I was very appreciative.

It reminded me of when I give Scarlett (age 5) a job to do like set the table, she feels so important:p

Instances:

Last Friday I had an appointment at 1 and asked MIL to pick Scarlett up from school. Patrick had something to do after work and was not going to be home till night. When I got home from my appointment Patrick called and said "Don't get mad but my mom has to go somewhere tonight so when she brings Scarlett home at 3:30 she is also going to leave Ryan (Age 4, SIL son) and Jen (SIL) will pick him up around 5. After work (off at 4pm) Jen is going with Melanie (florist) to look at the club house and see where they are going to put flowers. Ryan will be there for 45 minutes."

I tell him not to make plans for me again but that is fine, MIL has helped me out today by picking up Scarlett, etc. The reason he brought up "don't be mad" is because I have an issue with SIL dumping her son off on people (primarily us) so she can go out to the bar. She is not an alcoholic but she'll sit there and nurse one drink for 2 hours. It's how she socializes. She has a 50/50 custody with DN father so it has bothered me in the past when she askes if we can watch him because IMO she should do what she needs to do the 50% of her free time. This is not about DN, he's great.

So MIL & SFIL bring the kids at 4pm, they are hungry and want cereal, not a probelm, we play, we read and it is well past 5:30 when I look at the time. I want to call and yell at Patrick, ask why his sister is not here like he said but I stop myself because DN is not bothering and I have no plans. SIL calls at 5:45 saying she is waiting for Melanie to change then they are going to head over to the club house, GRRR, where has she been the past hour and a half and really why can't she take her son to look at the room? She asks how DN is, I say fine and she says as soon as they are done she will come get him. She does come get him ----- at 7:45. The clubhouse is one banquet room in the same city, .5 miles away.

Patrick gets home at 8, I tell him DN just left. He is like "What? Why?" and I just shrug and say "Don't EVER make plans for me again."

So I was bothered by this not because DN is a pain or I had to change my plans or anything but because SIL never asked me if I would watch DN and then took advantage of it. I'm not her enabler mom, don't waste my time.

#2 The shower turned out beautiful, it was women only. Invites went out addressed to the woman of the family only but the invite did not state "ladies only." I was hoping that was enough and I didn't need to spell it out. Everyone got it though and showed up sans husband and kids. Scarlett was at the shower because she's my daughter. When Patricks cousins wife saw she said "Oh, I didnt know I would've brought DD#2," I just smiled and said "Glad youre here!" Then an hour later she came back to me and said "I called Jeff (age 43) (her DH, Patricks cousin) and told him to bring DD#2 because I asked Scarlett if she wanted her here." Her DD is also not a problem child but why would she ask my 5 year old, it wasn't Scarletts party and there were NO other kids besides Scarlett. Well Jeff showed up, with their 14 year old DD#1, DD#2, and then stayed to help himself and them to food and drinks. I am still so upset about this, hear me out...

My mom paid for all the food and was worried about it running low, Jeff or the girls were not invited and HE stayed the rest of the shower! He was the only man, Patrick the babys father wasnt even there. My mom asked why he was there, I didnt know what to say. Someone was concerned that a homeless man had come (Jeff has a Bohemian look) I am just super annoyed that he came with the girls and helped himself to a party he was not invited to.

Jeff and his family, I dont know their financial situation but I'm always told by Patrick "They dont have money." Its none of my business but Jeff works for the Art Department at the local State College, his wife works at the museum. I dont know their income but I know they spend their money differently than we do so material items are not important. They are crammed in a 2 bedroom apartment (In the BEST area of town) because fo the schools. Anyhow, they are forever being paid for by Patrick and SIL because of the "They dont have money" excuse. I finally told Patrick, Jeff is a freeloader! And it pisses me off that he felt he could just come hang out at my party and help himself, no one invited him!

OK ladies, I;ve brought this up to Patrick but this family is not confrontational and I know he would rather let this die.

So what do you all think? Do I drop it? Do I say something to either or both of these people? Should Patrick? I wouldn't bring it up but I am still so bothered! Liek I dont want to be around either of them because I feel taken advantage of in a sense. It was in an auction format and listed shipping price to be 10ish. After I had the system sniped it for me, came back at the end of the day, and my invoice had an extra 2 euro added. I'm PunkyBrewstered. Emailed a nice quick note asking why there is an extra 2 euro added. A few hours later, I checked and she had already corrected the invoice, no messaged from her. So I paid. This morning, I get this email from her finally replying to my message,

I am so Sorry it is because I am posting abroad only by recorded International Signed for Royal Mail. And Royal Mail/English side/ increased all postage charges just recently from 30th April and very significantly.It is not my fault.But if you would like to cancel this transaction -I would understand.Let me know please.Thanks

Hm...I'm a bit confused. I thought you have corrected the invoice because it was an error w/the 2euro xtra? But now I noticed this email was sent after I sent in the payment. So the rate quoted on their web site (royalmail.com) and your listing was not correct for international signed for Royal mail? I don't mind paying the xtra if I was told ahead of time. I'm just a bit taken back that this was added after the auction ended. I do want these tights but I would be annoyed if some sellers decided to throw in some extra amount because auction didn't ended like they had hoped for. I sure hope this is not the case. Please just clarify it. I'm just puzzled seeing this email after the updated invoice.

So someone tell me what I'm thinking of is not correct and that this seller just made a mistake w/the auction and that rating did changed AFTER she listed her auction. She's in UK so probably listed auction 10 days ago, before such claimed rate hike. If it's in fact a rate changed, I would be happy to compensate her such rate as I wouldn't want her to eat that cost. Anybody here in the UK? Their website (Royal mail) still quoted 10ish euro for signed international Royal mail.

So they get me ready for surgery and am all prepped to go. This time they can do it by scope and pull the ovary out of my belly button since it is all I have left any way. IT should take 45 minutes.

Well just like my hyster....She gets in there and I have grown so many cysts and mass in 6 weeks she has to cut me back open becuase she cant even see the ovary through it all. So 3 1/2 hours later she is done. They start to wake me up....

only the OR nurse just at that moment realizes and I hear him say....holy...her IV fell out. I WAKE UP AND CAN FEEL EVERYTHING!!!!!! i HAVE NEVER BEEN IN SO MUCH PAIN IN MY LIFE!!!!

It takes 6 of them to hold my shaking body while they try to get an IV in but all my veins have collapsed. I wanted to die. I have never ever felt anything like it.
